Introduction: I have experience in every stage of music production. I began as a musician with classical piano, violin, and opera before switching to rock and jazz fusion. I currently write, perform, record and mix all of my own work, and I produce for many artists, both established and up-and-coming. I work as a mix and mastering engineer, with credits including Sarah Kinsley’s 2019 single “Open Your Eyes” (currently at 500,000 plays on Spotify).
I sing and perform regularly on guitar and piano, and have been providing lessons to people of all ages for the past five years. I have experience teaching in fields from basic acoustic guitar to gymnastics, and I am very comfortable in a lesson setting. I'm available to teach any level of guitar or piano, and I will focus on what the client wishes to learn rather than my own teaching agenda. I am also available for production advice, sitting in with a musical group, sessions, and solo gigs/entertainment. Just let me know what you need and I'll make it work.
In addition to indie rock, I have composed jazz charts for combos and big bands as well as orchestral arrangements of my original songs, bringing all of these projects to the stage. In 2019, I toured with internationally-renowned novelist and fellow of the Royal Society of Literature Dr. Amit Chaudhuri, performing Indian jazz fusion at Columbia University, the Brooklyn Book Festival, and Duke University. I have opened for or performed with many artists and bands, including Donny McCaslin, Big Mean Sound Machine, Bridget Kearney, Delvon Lamarr Organ Trio, Chad Lefkowitz-Brown, and Gabe Medd. I co-founded Iowa City groups NonProphet and Slackmaster Smooth, performing at both local and nationally prominent venues such as Gabe's Oasis, the Mill, and the Iowa Arts Festival's main stage. One of my productions - an original track called Out of Time - is on regular rotation at renowned jazz station 88.3 KCCK.
I also pursue photography and filmmaking, and I offer portrait photography and cinematography services. I am a member of the Columbia Photography Association (CPA) and am hired for events in the greater NYC area. I have shot and directed corporate films as well as my own personal works.
I am currently studying astrophysics at Columbia University.
