FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
There is some flexibility in my staging pricing depending on the actual job. For example, staging a furnished home where they already have a lot of current accessories requires time but less “stuff” so I can reduce my pricing at times. There are also times where some new furniture is brought into a room but some of the homeowners pieces remain.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Staging - brief meeting for me to see home and meet realtor and/or client to insure compatibility. If moving forward full tour home of home and report prepared. Interior design - 30 minute no fee consult at the clients home or via FaceTime to insure compatibility.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was continually asked by friends to help them redesign their homes and also prepare their homes for sale. I have a “good eye” and am respected for doing things on a very reasonable budget (don’t spend more than you have to - big fan of HomeGoods). My husband is in the mortgage business and works with many realtors and shared how much faster and for higher dollars the staged homes were selling so I expanded my business this direction.
