FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
With every new customer that visits the salon, you receive 20% off of your first visit. When I travel for a wedding, depending on the distance, you may be charged a travel fee in addition to the price of updos. All of my colors and color corrections start at base pricing and may go up depending on time taken for the service, hair length/thickness, or additional processes or toners needed.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first thing I always do with my new clients is a consultation. We discuss what they are looking to achieve as a final result whether it's a cut, color, or formal style/updo. For color or other chemical services, I typically discuss hair history which includes past color, products, or other chemical services administered to the hair. Then, I examine the clients hair and determine porosity, integrity, and thickness of the hair. After that, I discuss possible options or the process for the client depending on their hair needs. For any formal or updo clients, I discuss any ideas or review any pictures they bring with them and determine whether or not it is able to be done to their hair depending on the length and thickness. I also make sure to discuss any hair accessories such as crowns, clips, gems, or clip in extensions.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I obtained my cosmetology license in 2014 after 3 years of school and I have been an assistant and working in a salon since 2012. I have worked in a few different salons and have attended multiple continuing education classes and shows to expand my hair knowledge. I am also certified in the Brazilian Blowout Smoothing Treatment and Bombshell Tape-in Extensions.
