- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Prices start at $35 per square foot and may increase if the design requested is complex. This will be determined at the time that the final sketch is approved and indicated in the price quote. Non-Refundable Design/Sketch Fee: $350.00 – Includes up to 2 sets of changes by client (Additional sketches charged at $75/sketch). If a painting is contracted, the Sketch Fee will be deducted from the final price of the painting. Pricing includes: Travel within the Boston area, all materials, rental equipment, assistant fees and work to completion. Pricing does not include: Travel outside of the Boston area, liability insurance or Wall Preparation. *Walls must be paint-ready. Additional work due to adverse conditions on surface that requires extraneous labor will be charged extra, by the hour, at a rate of $95.00 / hour. RUSH JOBS may incur 25% extra fee. PAYMENT TERMS: Design fee of $350 due prior to sketch process. A 50% non-refundable deposit is due two weeks prior to start date of painting (this allows ordering of supplies and scheduling.) Full balance is due on completion.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I initially check out the site of the mural, talk to the client about what they are looking for, discuss any ideas they may have, and decide on the dimensions of the project. Before sketching ideas for the mural, the client pays a non-refundable fee of $350.00, which includes up to 2 sets of changes by client. (Additional sketches charged at $75/sketch). If a painting is contracted, the Sketch Fee will be deducted from the final price of the painting.
