FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
It depends on the job. I prefer to charge by the hour but, I find that most customers are not too comfortable with that. Most of the time I will give them a ( not to exceed) bid. That way there are no surprises. If I can get it done in less time I will charge less
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to initially make contact by phone rather than email or texting. Setting up a time to meet to introduce ourselves and discuss job requirements and concerns. I wouldn't want someone working on my house without meeting them ahead of time.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have extensive training in lead paint abatement. I thought this might be an area to create more work for myself. I was wrong. After all my time and effort, not to mention expense. I did two jobs in a years time. Then the state of Wisconsin wanted to collect more fees. I let my license expire. I still have the knowledge.
