I have known Ricky for over a decade. Before he officially became a life coach, he had always taken a keen interest in his friends well being. I remember on multiple occasions when someone was in a rut, or were on the verge of going in the wrong direction, he would take it on himself to provide valuable advice, even if it was difficult to deliver. That is what makes Ricky particularly qualified for being a life coach. He is someone you can rely on telling you how things are and what you need to do to improve your life. He will not back down to giving tough feedback, but will be considerate when providing it. On a personal level, Ricky has been subtly coaching my life for years now, whether he or I knew it or not. At every phase of my life, he has been there to provide advice, whether it be around the way I present myself, outlook on my career or even my general demeanor and view of life. He has been a value mentor, and most importantly, friend. I highly recommend Ricky as a life coach.

I've had the fortune (or misfortune to some) to have a great deal of experience both in formal / clinical talk therapy settings as well as more informal life coaching arrangements, and as such I'm writing this review from a comparative perspective. That being said, I could not recommend Ricky highly enough. Having come to Ricky in a time of personal crisis, he invested his time and energy and patience into giving me what I needed to see it through. In many cases, this didn't involve any sort of advice or coaching, but rather just as an active listener who I could count on to answer when I called. While Ricky comes from perhaps a non-traditional background for the field, he possesses an empathy and ability to offer non-judgmental feedback that no amount of formal training or education could provide. In short, I'm not sure where I would be without him.

Ricky is a go getter in the truest sense. He helped motivate me to follow my dreams of building my own business. It was really difficult for me to start on my own, but Ricky gave me the confidence to go for it, and also helped me work through tactical steps to get there (so it wasn't completely overwhelming). I can't recommend Ricky enough! He's also extremely knowledgeable about personal and professional networking, and has great tips/advice for the NYC/NJ area professionals. Aside from that, Ricky is a genuinely fun, caring and loyal person - he'll make sure you see your dreams through while also having a good time. I can't recommend Ricky enough.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I usually charge by session, but I am open to a fixed pricing structure as well. And of course, if you are unsatisfied with what I have provided, I honor refunds. If you do not feel better off after we work together, then I don't feel better and I don't deserve your compensation.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I believe in having a phone conversation before our session to discuss what you expect to receive from our sessions. I also want to find out a little more about where you come from, what you have done in your life, and what your concerns are. After that, I prepare strategies and advice to discuss for our actual session so we don't waste your time and money!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have had significant sales and advisory training which has allowed me to learn about people, including their personalities, their style of work and life. I have developed significant relationships as a result. I also have a lot of life experience and have had success managing this hectic world we live in and am happy to provide my perspective to people looking for a little help to get through the normal day to day grind.
