Introduction: With more than 15 years of teaching and performing experience, I have developed dynamic and eclectic teaching methods that allow me to find the most appropriate approach for each individual, whether a beginner or professional, adult or child or vocalist or pianist. As a classical singer myself, I have experiences in instructing all voice types and styles, from folk, pop and rock to musical theater and classical. I specialize in helping my students develop healthy breathing habits as well as successful practice methods. Vocalists have the opportunity to learn repertoire with the support of full piano accompaniment in their lessons. I specialize in helping my students build musicianship, so they not only sing songs but learn to communicate as refined artists.
With my piano students, I have had the pleasure of bringing beginners through to the works of Chopin, Beethoven, Bach, Mozart, etc. Again, I focus on building healthy habits from the beginning, including instilling a sense of self-discipline and empowerment that allows students to progress during the week in their own practice.
The most rewarding part is to see the joy that music brings to students when they master a piece or to witness the victory of when a student solves a problem or discovers the secret to playing or singing something that had seemed an obstacle. The secondary enjoyment is the fulfillment of acknowledging that my guidance and sharing of what I love the most has helped a student achieve his or her goals.
