Introduction: My qualifications include over 10 years of experience teaching students of all ages and levels, a Master's degree in flute performance from Western Michigan University, and a Bachelor's degree in flute performance from Youngstown State University. Recently, I was selected as a finalist in the COFA Young Artist Competition, the SEMFA Ervin Monroe Competition, and the NFA Piccolo Audition and Masterclass Competition. I have performed in masterclasses for many world-class artists, including Emmanuel Pahud and Denis Bouriakov.
Performing and teaching music are two of the greatest joys in my life!
As a teacher, I am committed to sharing my love and knowledge of music with all of my students as they work toward individual goals and discover their true potential. I respect and value each of my students as developing artists with unique ideas, perspectives, and learning styles.

Heidi is an excellent flute instructor! She did a great job at pin pointing areas where I was struggling and she was able to give me multiple strategies to improve my playing. Heidi helped me to become a much better flute player and I really enjoyed having the opportunity to study with her.
