FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge $40/hour. This is considered table time. For instance, if your dog in here for 3 hours that does not mean I will charge you $120. You are only charged for the time it takes me to physically groom your dogs. Such as the time on my grooming table. Drying time is not included. A basic haircut on a 20-30 lbs dog would average about $40. Pricing does increase depending on condition of coat and behavior.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
For a new client at Pooches Paradise we would need to obtain updated vaccine records showing up to date rabies, distemper and bordetella(kennel cough). In addition the bordetella needs to be updated within the last 6 months. After receiving the vaccine report we can schedule you an appointment with the groomer.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been a groomer for over 10 years. Starting at Petco, I was their bather and was offered to join their groomers training program. After successfully completing that program I continued to work for Petco for a few years. I left Petco to further my grooming education with smaller owned grooming salons. After several years of being a groomer's assistant I came across Pooches Paradise. At this point Pooches Paradise only had daycare, boarding, and training. I started the grooming program in July 2014 and have been working with this amazing company ever since.
