FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I do not accept insurance at this time; however, I am an "Out of Network" provider and can provide you with an invoice for your insurance company to reimburse you directly according to your out of network coverage. Please check with your insurance company directly to verify and understand your out of network coverage. My fee is $100 for a 50 minute session, and $150 for an 80 minute session. With couples I routinely schedule 80 minute sessions, as addressing the perspective and needs of two people is much more difficult with the shorter sessions. My couples have commented that the longer sessions feel more productive.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
With couples, I like to see the couple together the first time, how they interact, understand how they are each seeing the relationship, how they got there, and how they would like to see things change. Then, I will schedule a time to meet with each partner individually to get more information related to their individual perceptions and backgrounds. This is the only individual session I generally do in working with couples. From there, we'll continue our joint work and begin to understand the cycle you're caught in that's causing such distress in your relationship and begin working on changing that destructive pattern.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Master's Degree in Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage & Family Therapy, and I'm licensed as a Marriage & Family Therapist. I have additional training related to various models of couple and individual therapy.
