FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our costs of investment is dependent on the bulk of hours purchased and ranges from $57-63 per hour. Our ACT program begins at $1,300 for 15 hours of 1-to-1 tutoring, a thorough and complete ACT study/review book and access to our online curriculum for 1 year upon activation which is a companion to the study/review book.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Step 1 - One of our Education Consultants comes to your home to meet with the family. We will gather academic data from previous homework/quizzes/tests to determine the level of need to formulate a plan moving forward. We also get to know the family and student which helps us to assign the right tutor that best matches with your family. Step 2 - Match the tutor to the family. The tutor will email/call to set up the first session. All of our tutors are thoroughly vetted through a three-step interview process and background check. Step 3 - The tutoring begins. Step 4 - Tutor Doctor's continues support. We will continue to check in with the family and tutor to make sure the plan set by the Education Consultant is being followed and to make sure all parties are satisfied with the services being rendered.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was an educator (High School Mathematics) for 12 years before deciding to open up Tutor Doctor here in the Kansas City area. Education is important to me and I look to serve those students who need more than what the classroom can offer.
