Introduction: I was educated in one of the finest ateliers in Italy, and I use the same time honored traditional instruction that has also been successful in my public school classroom to teach accurate and beautifully crafted drawing and painting skills. I love seeing the confidence and excitement in my student's eyes once they've made it through the first difficult piece and realize they really can draw anything and do it well. I love building relationships through teaching and getting to see what my students go on to do with their lives, and of course, I love seeing the beautiful art that my students create!

Mrs. Hines was an excellent teacher--very encouraging, but she wasn't afraid to give you real criticism. All in all I feel like she really helped me understand how to learn art--I wasn't just taking lessons. I learned how to learn.

Ms. Hines is the best! She really knows how to train your eye. She is honest, encouraging, and has a truly inspiring wealth of knowledge to share. Her technique is outstanding. All around she is an excellent art instructor.

I had Ms. Hines as my Art III & Art IV teacher my senior year of high school. She's a wonderful teacher who will go out of her way to encourage your creativity and help you produce the best pieces you can. Definitely take her constructive criticism to mind when she gives it because it will help in the long run! All in all, she's a great teacher & I highly reccomend.

Ms. Hines was a wonderful artist and art teacher. Her work is impeccable, and she never failed to challenge her students and hold them accountable for their work. She pushed students to do their best, which inspired students to become better artists. Not only this, but she was the supervisor for the Art Club and never failed to become as involved as she could with those who had passion for the arts. As for the actual content of her teachings, her lessons were relevant and useful for gaining maturity and experience as artists as her students developed their skills.
