Dana's Music Tapestry

Introduction: I have been teaching private vocal and piano lessons for 14 years, both in my home and in various music schools. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Music Education from The University of Georgia. For vocal lessons, I train my students in all areas of importance, including breathing technique, vocal production and technique, expressiveness, and choosing the right songs for your voice, to name a few. Piano students are trained thoroughly as well, and I emphasize the importance of mastering the basics before moving to the next step. Music theory and musicality are two of the most important skills in learning piano, and I am very thorough and passionate about both. But most of all, whether vocal or piano lessons, enjoying what you're learning and feeling comfortable, welcomed, and supported are always priority number one! I love sharing my love of music and of singing and playing piano with students of all ages, including adults. Whether your goal is to sing on Broadway or professionally, study music in college, or just for fun, it is both a skill and an art form that can enrich your life in many ways.
