We hired Everett Kiser to restore an Oak Leaf pattern steel railing system with twisted pickets around two porches on our home. He ground off the loose paint and rust, primed everything with rust-inhibiting primer, and painted it with oil-based enamel. He did a beautiful job. Additionally he welded in a new 1"x1"x2' section of steel to replace an area that was rusted through. His attention to detail was excellent. I would hire him again.

Mr. Kiser removed several tree's from our land he did a great job. He cleaned up all the mess and was very informative.I also hired Mr.Kiser to do some landscaping for us he did great work and very professional and dependable. I will use him again and I would recommend him to anyone. Great work Mr. Kiser

I would like to say that I would not recommend Kiser Handyman to anyone because of the rude reply he sent to me when I let him know that we had gotten a cheaper bid and were going with that person. At first he said that he "appreciated my no reply" after he asked me how much the other person's price was. He then said that he would "NOT EVER" come back to our house and that gas wasn't free. He also told me that this is how it works: people who thought that an estimate given was too high were supposed to ask for a discount. I would also like to add that if Kiser Handyman thought that coming to High Point to give an estimate for a job was too far to drive, he should have let me know this from the start instead of complaining about how far he had to drive and then my husband and I could have chosen someone else from the list of people Thumbtack sent us.

I needed an interior paint job done before the week was out. Everett made himself available to get the job done very quickly which is what I needed. He was professional and courteous and paid attention to detail. I would hire Everett again.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I price jobs AFTER I see the project in person and get a good estimate . I do not like pricing jobs unless I have seen them in person and got an idea of what it will take to get the job done. I charge by square foot on most projects. Hourly and flat rate are sometimes the better way to price .
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to introduce my family and self to new customers , because I want them to feel safe and secure about their most prized possessions .
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have two years of welding and painting/refinishing education. I have heavy equipment , tree trimming/felling, and safety training from years of experience .
