Introduction: Hi, my name is Anthea and I am a passionate voice teacher who would love to work with you to master your voice. I have over 15 years of voice coaching experience and over 20 years experience as a professional musician. You may be preparing for auditions or wanting to work on specific areas of your performance, and improve pitch, tone, range, projection. We can work on musicianship, how to lead and communicate with your band, harmonization and develop new techniques and exercises specific for you. My goal is to provide a serious yet fun and nurturing learning environment for you to develop and grow as a singer. The lesson is your hour to discover and learn things about your body and your emotions. Your body is your instrument and as a singer it is essential to be aware of and in connection with it. You might be a seasoned singer or someone taking the plunge for the first time. Regardless of experience or intentions, every person is different and this means that every student receives uniquely designed lesson's for your learning style, your experience and your goals. We will take a look at the anatomy of your voice so you can take control of your singing from an anatomical perspective as well as a practical (exercises) perspective. This helps you to understand the purpose of each exercise we do during your lessons. Most importantly you should enjoy the experience and have fun! Singing is an incredible feeling and ability that I hope every student will experience.
