FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
There is a standard but it is based on the number of windows and doors that need to be fortified.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Initially, we interview the customer to determine exactly what type of problem they are encountering, they are asked specific questions, like (1) have you experienced invasive flood damage in the past, (2) how long ago, (3) how much water inches, feet etc. (4) was the damage caused by seepage, or dynamic moving waters, (5) do you reside near a source of water, i.e., pool, ditch, bayou, channel, creek, lake, river, pond, ocean. (6) have you ever fell victim to "ponding" or a collection of stormwater on streets or on undeveloped land that typically forms when rainfall occurs exceeding the design capacity of a streets drainage system or exceeding the lands ability to drain. These questions determine their level of need and probability of future flooding potential. It also determines, if in fact, we can be of assistance, because in certain situations we advise our clients in the event of catastrophic flooding to evacuate.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I worked for 33 years in Law Enforcement and attended West Texas A&M University's Emergency Management Administration degree program. I have organized and mobilized resources during several catastrophic Hurricanes and Tropical Storms that struck Houston Consolidated Statistical area ( Allison, Rita, Gustav, Ike. etc). I have completed numerous courses in Risk Management, and hold several FEMA certifications in crisis and incident management.
