FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing depends primarily on amount of work that needs to be done. A quick resume or essay edit is going to be much cheaper than creating a curriculum vitae from scratch. I encourage open communication with the client, to make sure that they are receiving the best product available for their budget.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I begin by discussing the client's goals and what they are hoping to gain from working with me. Then, I review whatever documents they currently have (resume, essay, application, etc) to develop a preliminary game plan, which I communicate to the client. I then formulate clarifying and quantifying questions for the client, so that I can highlight his/her specific strengths, skills, and experiences. I maintain frequent contact and communication with the client to ensure that they get exactly the product they were hoping for (or better!).
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Environmental Science and a Master of Arts degree in Higher Education Administration and Student Development (which included coursework on career and leadership development). I worked as an advisor and student affairs professional for 5 years with the University of Alabama and the University of Georgia and have operated my own freelance academic and career consulting business for almost 2 years.
