FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I have a range between $55-58 per hour, based on the distance, preparation required, and whether it is a piano, voice lesson, or both.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
At our first lesson together I like to ask about goals and musical background of the musician. We talk about repertoire and what kind of songs/ genre would be best to begin with to ensure a good, steady pace of learning. Then, we are straight to work... I love to get to know the student a little better, and then we begin with warm-ups.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Studied Vocal Performance at Middle Tennessee State University, with a minor in Speech & Theatre. I have an Alexander Technique background, and I make sure my students know how their body is connected to singing with endurance and agility. Piano lessons are usually formed around the age of the student, but I still incorporate good posture and techniques to help finger flexibility and agility. Piano lessons began for me at age 6, and began taking Voice Lessons seriously at age 13. I have not stopped training and studying since.
