At the age of 18, Mr. Oelschlager built his first house, subbing out only the foundation and roof. After several years of remodeling houses in any condition and turning them into homes, he realized that he loved taking something broken, something that need help and work, and making it better than it was new. He then began the company, utilizing his skill and experience to help others realize their desires for their homes and businesses.

My wife and I hired Gil to remodel our old 1933 farm house. First, we were so appreciative of his patience with us. We had no experience either building a new house or remodeling an old house. Gil was very patient with us as we changed our minds several times in drafting the remodeling plans before he ever got started and then struggled with several of the decisions that had to be made as the work progressed. Second, we were impressed with his work ethic. He arrived on time, stayed on task, and did not quit early. If he brought a helper, he stayed on site to oversee what the helper was doing. When some of the work was done by a subcontractor, he persisted to see that the subcontractor’s work was satisfactory. Most of all, we never had to worry about our home when Gil was working out of sight.

Everything about GLS is excellent. The quality of work is outstanding. Every time, without exception, Gil did what he said he would do and showed up when he said he would which we have found to be non-existent in East Tennessee. Our next project belongs to GLS.

GLS Remodeling is a friendly and professional remodeling contractor services that provides great service at reasonable prices. I have had several projects completed by them and I have been completely satisfied with their work. A VA Adaptive Housing Grant inspector for disabled veterans indicated that the work completed by GLS was some of the best work he had experienced as an inspector.

I had a very good experience with GLS Remodeling and wouldn't hesitate to us them again. Gil is a straightforward and easy to understand. He was always open to answering my questions and went the extra mile more than once. Gil treats it as if it is his own.

Happy, happy am I!! Master bathroom was completely remodeled from the floor to the ceiling. Floor tile, shower tiled, toilet replaced, vanity & mirrors replaced, lighting replaced, exhaust fan upgraded, baseboards replaced, all faucets upgraded, narrow linen closet door removed and space opened to allow easier access to closet shelves, popcorn ceiling scraped, walls and ceiling painted. I'm probably forgetting something. Very pleased with GLS's work ethics. This was second bathroom remodel GLS has done for me. and I'm making a list for more projects.
