Introduction: You want a beautiful, lively, and forever memorable experience--an event that your guests will be talking about for long after they leave. Making the right choice for entertainment is one of the first steps in making sure everyone stays in the moment and has an amazing time. Wedding bands are great! But while a talented wedding band can be costly, limited in songs, and require intermissions, a wedding DJ is much more affordable, can meet far more song requests, and they can keep the music going throughout the reception. Not a club DJ experience, and leaps and bounds better than an iPod playlist, Monolith Wedding Entertainment DJ's are professional and experienced. But we offer far more than just a DJ... We handle many aspects of small event entertainment: Ambient lighting, professional stage lighting, powerful audio systems, sound engineering, video playback, slideshows, live moment capture and release photography, and ceremony production... we can even find special musicians for your ceremony. Have a band lined up? Well, you may need sound, an experienced sound engineer, lighting, and seamless integration of a DJ for the hours the band won't be playing? WE CAN DO THAT! And we're proud to offer our services at affordable prices! Whether you want an evening with the vibe of a nightclub, something grand and elegant, or low profile and personalized, we'll work with your vision and ideas to bring it to life! Whatever you need, just ask! We grow through the requests of our clients! Being a part of the fun and excitement that's happening at each event is extremely enjoyable, but what we love most is meeting new and wonderful people!

Everything was perfect. Thank you for making our event so much fun! Monolith provided the music entertainment for our fundraising event, and we will definitely use them in the future. Everyone had a fabulous time.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Our prices are very straight forward. Some more individual item price details can be found on the website, but we try to make things simple for you by grouping things into pre-designed setups. Then you can add available options to any setup. Each package includes a DJ and nearly any song you can think of for 4 hours (additional hours available), a 6,000 watt or higher QSC sound system, a back-lit DJ facade and speaker dressing, amazing dance floor lighting, and a wireless microphone for your guests' toasts. The packages/setups vary in cost based on various visual additions, such as TV's (for slideshows, visualizers, and movies), and more advanced lighting setups. The packages are as follows: Clara: $800 Lumina: $1,050 Magna: $1,500

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

We start with a meeting to go over the details of our services and various designs and other options. After that, should you give us the honor of handling your wedding or other event, another meeting will be made to start work on making everything perfect, and for you to meet your DJ. We'll work through planning everything. And of course, we want to have a meeting with you at the venue you've chosen. This will help to nail down all the details for those more involved events. For wedding ceremony production, we'll also attend your rehearsal. So that everyone is on the same page. The head coordinator attends every wedding, and may handle the task of master of ceremonies.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Monolith's owner, event coordinator, and audio/lighting engineer has a degree in Audio Production and Engineering from MTSU. He has also worked on small events and festivals around Knoxville, TN.
