FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We charge an hourly rate per bartender and/or barback, which takes into account the length of the event along with setup and cleanup. Additional expenses may incur depending on the host's needs and requirements (e.g. sourcing and supplying alcohol, glassware rental, delivery, etc.).
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
It's best to start by learning about their event, ideally over the phone or in person. This allows us to become acquainted and gives us both a better understanding of each others needs. Given the event or occasion at hand is probably significant to them, it helps to build a trustworthy relationship early on to maximize our effectiveness, goals, and time. I've learned establishing this bond increases our ability to communicate, in turn ensuring we create the best experience together.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Palmer Mason, Craft Accommodations’ operator and principal bartender, has been involved in Knoxville’s burgeoning cocktail scene going on a decade. A Chattanooga native, he moved to Knoxville to attend the University of Tennessee. During this period he uncovered his calling for bartending and hospitality and grew a true fondness for the city . Since then, his many years behind the stick have shaped him into an artisan of the craft and scholar of spirits. Prior to establishing Craft Accommodations, he ran several bar programs and has been a part of some of the city’s most esteemed establishments, including the Peter Kern Library, Knox Mason, Oliver Royale, and Lonesome Dove. He intends to set the precedent for bartending services in the region.
