About this pro
If I could give this company negative stars, I would! I contacted Clydesdale Movers 2/21/17. We were needing a moving company 3/21/17 to move to our new house. My husband had a broken hand at the time and our daughter was just born 10/4/16. I send Kyle London a message on Thumbtack, then he contacted me through phone. We spoke about the moving process and I paid him $100 to hold our spot for 3/21/17. After we hung up, I got a text receipt from Square to confirm my payment. The receipt said I had just paid $100 to a company called Hill Country Casseroles. I was confused so I sent Kyle a text asking what just happened. He said he was accidentally logged in to his girlfriend's account but assured me that the money was going to the same place. I didn't think much of it but I trusted it. Between the initial contact date and our move date, I sent Kyle a list of the big things for the move. Somewhat of an "itinerary" for him. On 3/20/17, my husband and I got the keys to our house. Eager to get in, we moved our bed and our daughter's crib to the new house. But that was it! The next morning (3/21/17) Kyle called me to confirm that him and his crew were getting ready to head our way. We live in Temple and we were under the impression that he was in Austin. It's barely an hour drive. When I explained to Kyle that we had moved a few of our things to the house already but still needed him and his crew, he told me not to worry because there was a 3 hour minimum. This "minimum" was the first I had heard of it but I was okay with it thinking that it was going to go beyond that timeframe anyway. Not 15-20 minutes later Kyle calls me and says that there was no point in him and his crew to come because he would be losing money (rent the truck, gas, labor cost, etc.) because they were coming south of Austin. He then said that he would refund our $100. We were FURIOUS!! How does a company quit at last second like that?! We had to find someone to watch our daughter, we had to rent a moving truck, my husband's hand is still in a brace at the moment. We felt extremely frustrated. Fast forward a few days later: I texted Kyle asking if he had processed the refund. He didn't responded. I waited another few days to ask again and I got a response saying that he hadn't processed it but will get to it as soon as possible. A few weeks go by and we still haven't seen any refund. When my husband texted him about it, he told him that Square holds the money for 90 days and when the refund is processed then we will get an email. I used Square at my former place of employment for 3 years and had never heard of a refund taking so long. But I thought that the policies must have changed. So we waited. Well, here we are. Nearly FIVE MONTHS LATER and we haven't seen a dime. My husband contacted Kyle today (7/26/17) and he has done nothing but give us the runaround. My husband sent him screen shots of the texts of him saying he would refund us AND the "90 day hold". He blames US for canceling and says we screwed him out of a full day. WHY would we cancel movers when we were in the situation we were in?! Why is it so hard to refund $100?! I would not recommend this company to anyone!! Do not allow Kyle London and Clydesdale Movers to scam you! He lied to us and has continued to lie. We have every intention of going to small claims court.Jul 26, 2017VerifiedKyle L.'s reply
You never got a refund BECUASE you lied and tried to manipulate. The reason we charge that is for late cancellation. You decided to move your stuff yourself and didn't bother to cancel an 8 hr slot you reserved. Sorry You dont like the rules. You were charged on the wrong account but it still got to my pockets and my employees that needed that day of work you selfishly took from them. 5126481161. If you would like to call us and discuss your late cancellation further we would be happy to hear any questions you have it clear up and confusion on your end!

The guys were great, professional, helpful, and friendly. They took great care of packing my moving truck for me, and nothing broke during the drive. Two thumbs up!Jan 6, 2017Verified

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Yes I am transparent in pricing. We bid based on how many guys and trucks. The distance only changes our bid on drives longer then 3 hours.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?25 off first service! Earing a life long client.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I worked as a professional mover for 5 years. I also drove a 28 ft bobtail when I was younger and that's how I became comfortable with big equipment! I also worked as a framer here in austin for 3 years. My step father owns a packing company and he taught me customer service skills and how to run a successful operation. I started from the bottom at every company I've worked for and reach a point very quickly where I tapped out my potential in the company. that's what finally led me to starting my own company. Where I can chase what I believe is quality service for people who work hard.
