- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I bill hourly after work is completed either monthly or quarterly. A separate invoice is billed for set up of QuickBooks file.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My typical process is receiving an email or phone call to inquire about my services. if desired a free consultation is set up to discuss further details. Usually a meeting is set up at a Starbucks or other location agreed upon. If services are accepted, an engagement letter and proof of E & O insurance is provided. I will then email a list of the required documents or items I will need to start the work. Most of the communication is done by email since it shows a paper trail of questions and answers and gives each of us time to respond to the email. Very rarely a physical meeting is required but sometimes a client will want to meet once in a while to review financial statements.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have worked in an accounting/bookkeeping capacity in every job I have had. I love accounting and balancing bank statements and working independently. I have taken many Accounting courses in college however my best bookkeeping education has been in my real life experience in a Legal office, Car dealership, Mortgage company and College financial office. I have been working with QuickBooks for twenty years however I enjoy the QuickBooks Online version and became a QuickBooks Online Certified Proadvisor four years ago. A yearly recertification is required to remain a Proadvisor.
