They came out and were very forthcoming with the fact that I didn't have any visible issues. They said since there was nothing to test, I should move forward with the contractor work, but if they find anything that they would come back out and test as part of the initial visit (as I'd already paid for a test). ARC came to my house the day I contacted them, assessed the situation (fungal growth covering 100% of the soil in my crawl space), and proposed a plan within an hour of being here. They immediately got to work, carefully removing 3 layers of soil and then set up several fans under the house which ran continuously for a few days, drying out the area completely. They came back a few days later, removed the fans, sprayed a layer of preventative and covered the entire floor of the crawl space with a barrier.
