Sheehan Tutoring and Translation
About this pro
Currently a full time Chinese/English interpreter, I provide consecutive interpretation service for banks, insurance companies, government agencies, healthcare agencies and all walks of life. I have been a part time language (English as a second language, Mandarin, and Cantonese) tutor for over 15 years with students/clients from all over the world (Australia, Brazil, China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Indonesia, India, South Korea, Singapore, the Philippines, UK and U.S.A) with students' ages range between 3 and 65. My experience also includes a full-time (7hrs/day and 5 days/week) personal tutor with a bilingual (English/Mandarin) family. Teaching methods and materials are custom-designed and personalized as I believe every individual has unique talents and needs in learning. Graduated with a bachelor of degree in (English/Chinese) Translation in 2010, I have been a freelance translator for 8 years specializing in academic, education, literature, lifestyle, healthcare, and business texts. I love people, languages, and teaching! There is nothing more enjoyable and satisfying than combining my favorite things together and making them my lifelong career!
Customers rated this pro highly for work quality.

- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work? For people looking for a language tutor: You don't look for a perfect one (because there's none) but one who knows perfectly what you need and how to assist you in achieving your goal. For people looking for a translator: A translation is considered to be good when the target readers cannot tell it is one. A translator is considered to be good when his/her work is not a translation.
