FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I'm willing to work with you and your budget to find, or create a photography package that fits your needs.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I am very communicative and easy to get ahold of. I prefer touching base over the phone, as I feel it is more personal and helps me get to know you better, but of course communicating via email works great as well. Family and Engagement segments: Generally I'll touch base with you 2-3 times. I'll call or email to introduce myself, and hopefully we are able to set up a date and establish an idea of timing for that day. The week of the shoot we will finalize a time based on the weather and sunset time. I'm happy to make location recommendations, and am always open to new locations! Wedding: I'll touch base with you 3-5 times for a wedding package. Typically, I call you to introduce myself and make myself available to you. I'll get a feel for the type of poses you like and if there is anything important I should be aware of. Before your wedding, I'll send a pre-wedding worksheet for you to fill out with the final details of your day. This worksheet will provide you the opportunity to tell me everything you want me to know about your wedding day. I send this out in order to be sure I have every detail of your important day written down in your own words. After I have received your pre-wedding worksheet, I'll set up a time to talk with you on the phone to go over your worksheet together, in order to clarify everything with you. This last phone call typically takes 10-30 min in order to be sure I have every detail locked in on my end.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been interested in photography since I was in my teens and it has always been a hobby of mine. I started taking family portraits about six years ago but never had any formal training beyond classes at my community college. Three years ago I began shooting weddings as a second shooter with a wedding photography studio. I received valuable hands on training from the owner and other experienced photographers in the studio. I continue to educate myself with online courses and tutorials. I currently shoot about three weddings/month with the studio as the lead photographer and have decided to take on more weddings under my own label.
