FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is usually based on shot location, subjects, picture count, post processing, media output and availability. I usually try and work with the customers so feel free to ask questions.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After reading the job profile, I make a decision as to whether or not I have the equipment to do the job effectively and professionally. Next, I will contact the customer with a quote based on budget and availability. If the quote is agreeable, I will begin working on communicating via email, phone and/or text to develop a session plan to actualize their goals. Asking questions is a good way to reduce uncertainty and build confidence. Once we shoot, we have something to work from yet maintain a flexibility to work with the day as it unfolds. Once we shoot, I am able to process the finished project and I can post the images quickly and privately online where the customer can access it. I am also able to process the images to disk or other media in the format needed. Pictures for a web page and social media are processed and compressed differently than those for print. If proofs are needed, I do have a lab that I work with. I will follow up with the customer to make sure that the images are accessible and that their is satisfaction with the results.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My education is in Communication with an emphasis in digital media. I have about 12 years experience with photography and video production. I have worked with numbers of skilled photographers and video producers that have mentored me throughout my formal training.
