Heather is an excellent voice coach. I was an out of practice, though trained singer when we met. It had been YEARS since i sang professionally and she whipped me right back into shape! She is great at listening and really getting down to the specifics of what one needs to work on. She also is great at coming up with exercises for her students to do that are specific to their vocal needs. She is patient, though a bit strict. Just the right amount of strictness though that helps keep one motivated!

Heather is an amazing vocal teacher. I've performed all my life but with her coaching I'm able to sing longer and with more power. She gives easy instructions and gives you confidence in your singing. I've been extremely lucky to work with her and I will continue to throughout my performing days.

I have been taking voice lessons with Heather since the end of March, and it has been a wonderful experience. Heather is a dedicated teacher who is always considering the way I learn and trying to incorporate new approaches to help me gain mastery. She provides lots of extra support outside of lessons as well if I have questions. The notes she provides after each lesson as well as the warm up videos and backing tracks are so helpful with my practice. Be prepared to work hard if you want to make a difference in your singing. Heather has helped me knock down unrealistic expectations (everyone on the radio is "airbrushed", people!) while building up a strong foundation for proper technique. Singing is not easy, but with practice, hard work, and an excellent teacher like Heather you can see a lot of rewarding progress. I look forward to my lesson every week and am so glad I hired Heather.

Scheduling and lessons have some flexibility.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I will meet with a client and find out what their personal goals are for their vocal instruction. I'll listen to them sing and find what specific work needs to be done, and move forward with several pieces that are to the liking of my client to assist the needed instruction.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Master of Arts in Music, and have given and taken numerous years of vocal instruction.
