FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
25.00 per half hour lesson. additional if I travel to you. This price includes supplemental music which I purchase and share with students. Students purchase their own method books. Payment is expected the first lesson of each month, for the full month. Any missed lessons because of illness or vacations are gladly made up.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I ask you what you know, show me what you know. Then I assess your way of learning and understanding. I take into consideration a students age before prescribing a method book. I use many different ones. Usually the first lesson is a little longer but no added charge. I will teach you to read music, tune your guitar, change the strings. I can also teach you to read tablature but reading music will help you understand the beat even if you never heard the music. Tablature is useful with complicated rock solos.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
