Sooo helpful, qualified in dealing with many requests. A true jack of all trades. My only hesitation is that as I praise him...he won't be available when I need him! :)Jan 21, 2019Verified
I had a small project and he did a fine job. I had particle board, built-in shelves that got wet on the bottom level which was attached to the floor. He came and fixed it. That's it. Nice and easy. He is very nice and affordable. I would hire him again for any handyman work.Oct 10, 2018Verified
Scott was great. He called first, came on time and cheerfully did everything we asked him to do. We would hire him again in a minute.Jul 13, 2018Verified
Scott had to cancel my orig. Approximately time from 10 am to 2 PM. He arrived at 2:30. I called to see when he was arriving....never called me. He is nice but needed to be reminded to put a door stop back on door, did not do any cleanup inside my house and took my only white hand towel with him. He also removed most of the screening in the screen door but could not get new screening in it. So he left me with a totally unfinished screen door. I want my towel back and I would not hire him againJul 3, 2018VerifiedHeck of a Handyman's reply
As discussed I had an emergency situation and was able to shift schedule around to fit you in that day. You provided the wrong sized spline and I was unable to install the screen. Also I didn't take white rag, though I'm not sure why that is a major concern.
Not sure why you bothered to give me a quote, if you didn’t plan on getting back to me.Jun 27, 2018VerifiedHeck of a Handyman's reply
thumbtack sends automated quotes and I often don't see messages on this website. Sorry for the inconvenience, feel free to call me anytime and I will get back to you.

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Yes, I generally charge 35 dollars per hour with a 50 dollar minimum.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I generally meet with a customer to review the project and discuss the expectations that they have. While working on the project I like to have a clear line of communication with the customer to ensure the results meet or exceed those expectations.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have a Bachelors of Science degree in Construction Management from LSU. I have worked 10 years previously as a site superintendent for a local General Contractor in West Palm Beach. In the past year I have branched out on my own and do handyman work and small remodels. I also enjoy building kayaks as a hobby when work is slow.
