About this pro
My experience with this guy was not great at all set up an appointment to have a water heater installed got everything together I scheduled myself to get off work early and this guy came up with a lame excuse that his truck was in an accident and he couldn’t do the job so I had a friend of mine call to pose as a would be customer and lo and behold he was able to possibly come out and see him the next day in the morning instead of making lame ass excuses just be honest and say you can’t do the job do not BS me I wouldn’t hire this guy if he was the last technician on earth. This Is the lame excuse he text me look how phony this looks , I regret to have to inform you that I won't be able to do your water heater as my truck was just involved in an accident. Sorry for any inconveniences this may have caused Stay away from this guy any real professionalWould’ve been honest and just say you can’t do the jobJul 28, 2018VerifiedRaymond M.'s reply
Sorry you feel that way Nedric. I have been in business too many years to need excuses. I have to assume by your nasty and uncalled for comments, that you have never been involved in an accident. I just lost a vehicle and suffered some injuries. This is quite a selfish stance on your behalf.
I lucked up on using Ray after a previously hired contractor failed to meet me at my home for a scheduled estimate consultation. So, I was forced to look elsewhere for a contractor. Since I faithfully use Thumbtack, I had other inquiries about the job I needed done and Ray was one of those inquiries. I emailed/texted him and told him the job I needed done and even sent him some pics. An appointment was made for him to come by my house to look at what I needed done ( repairs to drywall of my garage ceiling). Ray was EARLY to the appointment (which was nice because I am a stickler for being on time, if not early). I laughed and mentioned that he was early and told him about the previous contractor that didn't show. He stated that he does not like wasting another person's time, which happens to be a mantra that I live by. So, we are already off to a good start. Ray gave me a little bit about his background and his work history, which is always nice so that one can get an idea about the person they are hiring. Ray surveys the ceiling and explains what will need to be done in order to complete the repairs. We agreed on a price, which I have to say was a bit more than I wanted to pay BUT he offers a 1 year guarantee on all his work and since I have been using Thumbtack for quite some time now, I have never run across anyone offering a 1 year guarantee on their work. So, we make plans for him to come out to do the repairs after I put down a deposit. He gives me a receipt for the deposit which states how much the remaining balance will be after completion. Ray showed up ON TIME to start the repairs. I wasn't feeling well, so I just left him to his work while I went back to bed. The first day he was at my place maybe 5 hours. He had to return the next day to finish the job, which was fine. Once again, I left him to his work and he was finished in about 6 hours. I was very impressed with the care and time that he spent to make sure the job was done right. I am thrilled that my garage ceiling has no holes in it. Ray did mention that he also does plumbing and electrical work as well. So, I might take him up on his offer. Even though he is a Patriots' fan ( he's from Boston..BOO PATRIOTS!!!!!!) I still would hire him again......lolFeb 7, 2017VerifiedRaymond M.'s reply
Thank you So much for your business and your review Yvette. It was a pleasure doing your project. As far as the Super Bowl, you probably would not havej believed me if I told they were going to win.....even if I told you that in the first quarter. LOL. Thank you again. Remember to call if you need anything 214 756 0323
Made an appointment for an estimate but he never showed up nor did he answer our calls and text messages. I would never use him because he appears to be unreliable. I'm sorry for your loss but you still could have communicated via a simple text, call or message instead of having us wait all day for you.Dec 17, 2017VerifiedRaymond M.'s reply
This person did not hire me nor leave a message if she called. I was not able to call due to the nature of the emergency. I certainly hope they never lose a child.
Highly recommend... Ray was punctual and went the extra mile to ensure the work completed. The drywall repair looks like new and blended in with the existing drywall. 5 stars.Dec 7, 2017Verified
A flood can cause so much damage but if you want the best work in repairs you must use Ray. His attention to detail is impeccable. I will use Ray for all my future needs. My house looks better than it did when I moved in almost 20 years ago. Thank you Ray! Feel free to give my phone number for any personal reference.Aug 12, 2017Verified
