- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge $85/hour for my training services, and do not charge extra for more than one dog. I also currently offer a $299 package that includes 5 weeks of training and a free consultation.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First, I schedule a consultation for when it is most convenient for my client. At the consultation, we set 3 primary training goals (such as jumping, barking, and coming when called) that will be addressed over the course of 5 weeks. I also evaluate how exercise, medical history, and diet may impact our training goals. Once we start training, we work shaping behaviors during training sessions, and I give homework tasks for the owner/dog team to practice every day for a few minutes (handouts are available upon request) so we can build upon behaviors at each training session.
