Brandon told us they would be here Thursday the 21st of June. They never showed up. We called at 5pm he finally answered said his truck broke down they would be here the next day Friday. They finally showed up after 3pm. I told them I wanted the palm tree fronds to be cut as close to the tree as possible for a clean appearance. They did a horrible job!! They had only a saw to cut the fronds with no chainsaw at all. They cut all the fronds 6 to 8 inches away from the tree. I have 9 palm trees and they only climbed up 3 of them, the others they just used an extension pole to cut the fronds with. When it came time to clean up they were waiting on someone to bring a blower. I told them I had brooms in the garage. The crew chief said they had brooms also but did not get them. I offered them beverages and we waited for the blower. I asked who I should pay, he told me to call Brandon. As soon as I told them I had paid, the crew chief said lets go. The yard and pool were still a mess with all the pieces of bark laying everywhere. Even one of the workers, Gil said we can not leave it like this. The crew chief said don't worry the wind will blow it away. (yes right into my pool, with a lot of stuff still in the rocks and a broken spot light in the front yard and a palm frond in the back that was half cut and fell a couple days later. Pictures attached) Gil was nice enough to help me move some furniture back in place, but they left the yard a mess. I have contacted Brandon, the owner several times to see if he would like to come over and evaluate his crews job. He has blown us off. I well never ever hire this company again and I will make sure my friends, family and anyone else I know will never use LV Tree Worx LLC!!!!Jul 13, 2018Verified
The guys from LV Tree Worx were friendly and courteous. They did a great job on my trees and left the yard clean. I look forward to working with them again!Apr 21, 2018Verified
Victoria and Branden are just amazing. The amount of work they had to do was seriously staggering. Their quote was more than fair and they were so flexible with scheduling. We plan on using them to do our backyard makeover now that we have a blank canvas :). Also the dog LOVES it! So it's pooch approved!May 11, 2017Verified
I really wanted to like this company. For years, I had been getting people to trim my palm trees via Craigslist, for about $80-90. I've never had any problems in the 5 years I've had this done. This time around, I decided to go with a legitimate company that was bonded and insured. They even had nice business cards. My problems started after their crew finished the job. The side of one tree looked like it had a "bite" taken out of it. The spikes from the climber's shoes had dislodged a bunch of dried out, previously-cut fronds. I followed up and relayed my dissatisfaction, and they scheduled a time to come back and fix it. Now, I know that the dead fronds on the side of a palm tree can't really be "put back," but I figured that something could be done to make the appearance look a bit better. When they came back a few weeks later, the second attempt turned out to be worse. Now, there's a huge gaping hole on the side of the tree. I realize that I can't expect the world for $160, and they probably didn't make any money having to come back the second time. But, the reality is: now my tree looks terrible and there's nothing I can do except pay a lot of money to "skin" the tree past the point of the damage. The crew quoted me $35 a foot for this service My second followup went unanswered. I don't think that the customer is always right, but I had no problems for 5 years in hiring random guys off Craigslist. Maybe a discount for the skinning service would have been a solution? I would have been willing to pay more to fix this, but I guess they were tired of dealing with me.Aug 1, 2017Verified
We needed someone to bring this 10 year old palo verde tree down in height... it was way too tall and hung over the fence into the neighbor's yard. It needed to be shortened, thinned and shaped. Our current landscaping company used to be able to trim/thin it to our satisfaction but the tree has gotten so tall that they are unable to do much anymore. So I did an internet search for experienced tree trimmers and discovered Thumbtack as a resource. The first contractor I called out said the tree could not be trimmed/topped, that it would most likely die, so we should remove it and plant a new tree. I was so unhappy with that proposal that I decided to get a second opinion. Limb It Less had also responded to my Thumbtack request, so I reached out to them. The same day we connected on Thumbtack Brandon came out to take a look and provided a quote for the job. With confidence he told us he could bring the tree height down 6-8 feet and thin it out. That same day we received his official proposal for the job via Thumbtack, which we accepted online. An appointment was set, his team showed up the next week as scheduled and they did a fantastic job. The upper level of the tree was cut and shaped by an experienced tree climber who used proper rigging to complete the job in a safe manner. All the limbs, debris, etc were put into their grinding machine and hauled away. Overall we were very happy with their work and will use them in the future to keep this lovely tree under control.May 26, 2017Verified
