- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
As much as possible Retro-man has up front pricing. All service calls are done with our upfront pricing page. This way the customer can see exactly what the service will cost before any work is performed. Pricing for equipment installation is a little different due to the variables (home size, windows and size of windows, insulation, size of rooms, vaulted ceilings, etc). All these things affect the size of the equipment being installed.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have been in the HVAC business for all of my adult life. My step father was a contractor and I grew up helping with the grunt work, estimating, and running parts. I took a bit of a different route for a time and have been involved with commercial building automation systems. Now we are taking that to the residential world and installing whole home automation systems. Which integrate homes lighting, security, and hvac systems together. Along with any other systems that it may be helpful to integrate.
