Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: I have been installing all types of concrete (specialized color, stamped, exposed aggregate, washed finish, broom finish) for 25+ yrs. I also have many years experience working with rock, brick and all types of retaining walls, waterfalls, fire pits, etc. Having done concrete & masonry in CA, HI, & UT, I have developed an expertise in knowing my environment & tailoring my work to the natural existing conditions (soil type, ground movement.) I take pride in being reliable; I take one project at a time & give my complete focus to the current project until finished, no matter the size of the job. I enjoy that my work allows me to get to know many different people. I love pulling up to a home and visualizing the possibilities for improvement, sharing my ideas and seeing a client become excited and then ultimately feeling the satisfaction of a job well-done and a happy client with a beautiful new addition to their yard/business/home

De Pulu (T) was introduced to me by my son. I had existing ongoing work being performed by another contractor who had simply vanished after completing 1/3 of the work contracted to perform. I initially wanted..."T".. to remove an existing slab which was poured by another contractor which was of poor quality. After he assessed the Slab project...T...offered some grading suggestions due to excessive slope which caused water to pool every time the neighbor ran their sprinklers and in spring at the NW corner. The slab prep & finish work is of excellent quality and ascetically fine. His price was very reasonable and his work was on time and on budget. After T completed the slab I asked...T... to bid out the drain project to alleviate the water pooling. He suggested a drain 2/3 around the perimeter of the property which he would have to trench as well as trenching and tying in all drain spouts from the house to the drain line to ensure proper drainage. T utilized quality material and tested the system to ensure proper flow. He also ensured the outlet points were ascetically sound to the landscape. T's next project for me was to pour another slab to tie in my existing driveway from the NE front of the house to the back of the property. T also completed that project with the same careful concerns and quality of a master craftsman. T's next project for me was to re-do an existing retaining wall on the SW side of the property. The original contractor as stated earlier vanished. T and his crew deconstructed the wall that was initially started and ensure proper levels and alignment for the base run was correct. He then completed the retaining wall and did the grading on the neighbors end to ensure proper levels were attained. He also bartered a deal with my neighbor across the street for extra fill dirt to help with the grading. T's final project for me was to come up with a hardscape scheme for the front yard. Since I have no expertise in that field...T...used his professional expertise and know how to come up with a design for me since stone and rock work is one of his best qualities. T created a unique design for me which is uncharacteristic in my neighborhood or area. I have received excellent comments on the design of his work from family, neighbors and visitors. I have been extremely satisfied with the excellent, excellent workmanship and detail to Tevita Pulus work and would...HIGHLY, HIGHLY...recommend him to anyone wanting a talented Professional who is extremely passionate about his work in this field and is a quality people person willing to help. Mr. Tevita Pulu's costs are reflective of the caliber and quality of his work is well worth the price. He was able to work with me on pricing and was very flexible as well which was extremely helpful to me. He was always on time and communicated very well with any changes or concerns he had which came up on all the projects he performed that needed to be clarified. I am a Structural Engineer with Dept of the Navy by profession and travel extensively for my work. 90% of the work performed by Tevita Pulu was accomplished with me being out of state. I cannot over state enough the piece of mind and trust I had with T while in the performance of these projects he accomplished and performed. F. Te'o

Tevita Pulu did a major hardscape/landscape at our home in the St. Mary's area. Since we had lived here 45 years there were many different areas that needed updating and design to correct problems. Tevita is very creative and each time I mentioned a problem he would come back the next day with a solution that was a perfect fix both ascetically and practically. He gave our home the curb appeal we needed and I am always thrilled to look out and see the many different areas, in both the front and back yards, that make our house and yard a showplace.

My small project was difficult because of all the tree roots in the area as well as very shallow buried wires. My overall rating is more like a 3.5. What I liked: 1. The concrete looks great. 2. The entire crew was friendly & respectful. 3. The price was one of the lowest of the bids I received. 4. Reasonable payment options (upfront vs on completion). What I didn't like: I felt like they cut a few corners that would have secured a 5 star: 1. My biggest complaint was they were going to cap off the sprinkler system. They didn't and I had to do it myself. Luckily they didn't cover the line where it needed to be capped. This is after my wife turned on the sprinklers which started flooding under the newly poured concrete. 2. I was told they would install a lawn pop-up drainage emitter, they didn't. 3. They accidentally picked up one of my shovels. I mentioned it to them but I don't expect to see it again. 4. They brought a whole bunch of road-base, but because of the tree roots they didn't dig down very deep and it took them several days and a reminder text to come pick it up the leftover road base. 5. This one is partly my fault, but he suggested we use a pressure treated 4X4 instead of a steel bollard filled with concrete near the gas meter which I agreed to. But in retrospect it isn't going to be nearly as strong or look as good.
