FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We have a hard time estimating lighting systems sight unseen. Many factors need to be determined before I can accurately quote a job. Whether we will be installing down lights into trees casting light down on the property with a moon light effect or up-lights casting light up into the trees. If a sidewalk is desired to be lit then we need to know distance of walkway to determine the correct position and number of lights to install. It is difficult to determine but most systems can be installed for as low as a couple hundred dollars for a smaller job and up for a more intricate and involved lighting system.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We do an on-site assessment with the homeowner, discuss owners ideas and concerns with a lighting system. We will then draw up a job plan considering homeowners ideas and input along with the ten years experience in designing lighting systems that I may suggest to the homeowner/business owner. Once we have established the layout of the lighting system we schedule a day for installation. Most installations take two to three days depending on the layout. We will install the lighting system but not bury the wiring on the first day. We do this so that the homeowner can view the new lights in place and operating and can make any suggestions they might have if they would like to move lights or add lights the following day. Once the customers expectations are meet we then bury the wiring and they can enjoy their home in a new light.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Ten years experience in installing halogen and LED lighting systems. Trouble shoot problems with systems we did not install and make adjustments or service the lighting systems. Formly lead installer/service crew at Lighthouse Lighting of Ohio.
