- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Iam a positive reinforcement trainer which means I teach you how to teach your horse or dog what to and not to do using rewards (typically food). My courses start with 4-6 sessions with the ability to add on more as you go. During The first session I will show you how to you teach your dog that the bridge signal (You can use a clicker, noise or even a word -we will go into this more during your first session) Means “yes! You did the right thing” and how to use this communication tool to reinforce the behaviors that you want. The first session tends to be a lot of education for the owners but I give you training homework As well as a written overview of The session with additional information tips and tricks so you are successful between sessions. Once you and the dog/horse feel comfortable communicating we will break down how to teach each of the skills or behaviors that you want and how do avoid those you don't. We can do this training sessions in person or via video. The bonus with the video coaching is that I can record the sessions and send them to you so you have them to look back at. I am also available via Text or email in between sessions if you have any questions or run into any issues.
