Introduction: Thanksgiving Day 2013 I was standing at 19,341 feet on top of the world’s tallest free standing mountain, Mt. Kilimanjaro. Looking out over the horizon and seeing the sun rise above the clouds, I realized that life is about moments like this and that I was not going to be able to adventure like this while working for someone else. Earlier that year, I was working with local entrepreneurs in rural Karatu, Tanzania helping them acquire small business loans through a micro finance program. While helping entrepreneurs get the money they needed, I saw the burning desire in each of their eyes for something more, a way to elevate themselves out of the poverty they were in and a chance to create something in their community that could benefit all. I took that attitude and spirit and when I came back to the US in 2014 I started working as a fundraiser for a local nonprofit. Soon I became one of the top fundraisers for this organization and then in August of 2016 set off on my own to create Graystone Consulting. A firm specializing in nonprofit and small businesses helping them with sales, fundraising, and marketing. Realizing the potential and the impact that Social Media can have on driving customers and donors to organizations I decided to create Apex Social Media Group, an organization specifically designed to help generate sales and donors for nonprofits and businesses alike. The future for us is bright and we know that we can help you find your customers and help you optimize your social media presence. I love having the ability to make a difference on a global scale. With each organization that we help, we better the community not just locally but on a national level as well.
