FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I will quote my fee once I know the location and the amount of time I'll be entertaining.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
By phone or email I find out from new customers about their events and what they're wanting. Whether it's a birthday party, public festival, grand opening or any other kind of event I discuss my Big Show and walk-around and balloon twisting to determine what will best suit the occasion. Usually birthday parties start with the Big Show, which includes juggling, clown magic, a little live music, and lots of nonsense and interactive fun. The show is followed by balloon animals for all the kids. At public events or organization events, we discuss what will best suit the client's needs. Often times I will do walk-around with my juggling and other antics along with plentiful balloon twisting. Some big events will have me do shows, as well.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm a graduate of Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Clown College (class of 1982). I have studied acting and improvisational acting and comedy, and movement with various teachers. Back in the early 90s I attended the one-month Antic Arts workshop at Celebration Barn in Paris, ME.
