FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Due to the numerous variables that can affect the efforts involved in safely removing, topping, and pruning trees and shrubs we do not have a set price for a particular tree however we do have a minimum of $150 per project. Some of the variables that can affect the price of a project include but are not limited to: What is to be done to the tree is it just a matter of topping the tree, removing dead limbs or actually cutting the tree down. The size of the tree and the diameter of the tree trunk. The health of the tree. The proximity of the tree to your home or other dwellings on the property. How you want the tree processed once it is on the ground (cut into fire wood, cut according to city requirements and moved to the curb for pick up, or simply haul it away). What you want done with the stump once the tree is down. These are the most important variables but again not a comprehensive list that will affect the price of a project.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We will provide as accurate of an estimate as possible through thumb tack or other referring sites and schedule a time to discuss the scope of the project in person or on the phone to gather more details and allow time for the potential client to get to know us and ask any questions they may have. Once we agree on pricing and work to be completed we will schedule the job at the client's convenience. When we arrive on site we will provide the proof of insurance and written estimate to be signed by both parties to confirm all parties are in agreement of expectations from both sides. When the job is completed to the client's satisfaction we collect payment and leave customer with a receipt showing payment has been received. We will keep in touch with client's (with their permission of course) from time to time with offers of special pricing and to make sure their homes and properties are still free of potentially dangerous situations. Often our client's will call us back to work for them again in fact about 40% of our business stems from existing client requests and another 30% comes from client referrals.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Practice and experience is honestly all the training I have had when it comes to tree work. I honestly have the least experience of anyone on our crew at Arbor Tech each Arborist in our employ is a second or third generation Arborist who have been groomed their whole lives to continue on the family tradition to eat, sleep, and breathe tree work. I have and will continue to learn a great deal from the crew members I work with on a daily basis.
