Earlier this month I contracted Tri-County Tree Service to remove two red oaks and trim the deadwood on the third one. These were fairly large trees with one of them measuring about 4 feet in diameter at the base.
I contact 3 other tree service companies. Brad was the first one to reply and the first one to come for a free estimate. His estimate was the lowest of the ones I received. I was a bit apprehensive about the low bid but I went with Brad based on my personal interaction with him and on the positive reviews.
The positive reviews were right on. Brad and his crew came on the scheduled day and worked diligently right through extreme heat, high humidity and a summer thunder storm! Some days they worked until dark – which was nearly 9:00 pm this time of year! I was very impressed with Brad’s personal work ethics. Since he’s the boss, his crew worked equally hard. There were 8 men on the job and each seemed to have a special task. In addition to the large crew, Tri-County also brought a number of specialized equipment including shredder, cranes of different sizes and heights, trucks and log movers.
Since my driveway was newly paved, I requested that the heavy equipment be handled with care so that they do not damage the asphalt. Brad personally see to it that this was done. The job took parts of 4 days. At the end of each day, and at the end of the job, my yard was as clean as when the job was started!
Half way through the job I asked for some additional deadwood to be removed. I was willing to pay extra for the additional work. Brad went ahead and removed these branches without charging for the extra work. One of my neighbors is a woodworker and had asked for some of the red oak logs for her work. Brad delivered them to her yard, gratis!
In summary, I’m very glad that I had selected Brad for the job. I do not think the other tree service companies could have done a better job, regardless of price. I highly recommend Tri-County, Brad and his crew for their reliability, professionalism, promptness and thoroughness.
