Nikita has been teaching piano to my 7 year old for the past 1.5 years. We started with Nikita after my son had 2 years of Suzuki, and Nikita has been teaching more traditional piano lessons to my son. This has been great, as it’s helped with his ability to read music. We started lessons with Nikita in person, but for the past year we’ve been doing virtual lessons because of the pandemic. He’s very tech-savvy, so the transition to lessons via Zoom has been a breeze from our perspective. He’s a really talented musician and in this sense is a great role model for any aspiring musician. I highly recommend working with him!

My two daughters have been taking lesson with Nikita for over a year and they gained confidence and desire to challenge themselves with piano pieces. Nikita accommodates with schedule and inspires my girls to push their limit, learn more by playing piano pieces to them, introducing different styles in music and teaching them about Composers. Nikita is patient, supportive and encouraging. He helps my 11yr old son feel confident and at ease during their lessons, and my son’s piano playing has noticeably improved. What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to begin by evaluating my students skill level in terms of sight-reading, technique and ear training. From there I move on to a proper teaching methodology or assign repertoire that fits the student's playing ability.
