One of the best photography sessions we have had as a family. Rachel made us feel comfortable and from the first shot, we knew we were in great hands. She did not disappoint!!

Rachel shot photos of our son for his first birthday, including a cake smash, and I absolutely LOVE how they came out. She was so easy to work with, and her rates are very reasonable. The quality of the photos is stunning! We will definitely be using her again in the future.

About this pro

I travel and move around a lot. If I am sending you a quote then I am in your city. :) A little about me. I have been shooting professionally since I graduated college. I love photography. love making people feel good and capturing high quality images of their personalities and relationships with each other. I use high end equipment and have a clean and simple style to editing. I am a location based photographer, I have found that the images are more authentic when the client and I work together to find a unique spot. I am pretty bubbly and outgoing, so I am great at getting everybody relax and have fun during any portrait session. I am not a high stress person, I don't care if your kids are crying, its ok, they cry. This is why I bring gummy bears...and I have 10 years of being a camp counselor under my belt. So I dont mind taking 5 minutes to talk to them and show them the back of my camera. Kids are pretty smart and like when I involve them in the process. I really just find pretty light and have everybody sit close together, and somehow it works every single time :) I enjoy that I am able to make all people feel beautiful. Everyone is beautiful, everyone has a story, and everyone is just trying to find where they belong. I love when people include me into their lives so that I can capture their personalities for them. (I'm a dreamer with her life together) I also travel well, and have a smiley face and professional demeanor for all your corporate needs. I have shot week long conventions in Las Vegas, D.C, Chicago, and all over DFW

    Q & A

    • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Yes. I have different packages for Portraits, Newborns, Weddings, and Events.
    • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated from Texas Tech with a Bachelor of Fine Arts and and emphasis in Photography in 2010. I have worked professionally ever since, mostly in Dallas. I have worked dozens of conferences/conventions, and taken thousands of head shots. And been lucky enough to photograph some pretty great people. I was also a high school photography teacher in Texas, but that is a wild story that you will have to ask me about in person.
    • What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with all types of people. Its hard to say which genre I enjoy the most. I know it is highly recommended for photographers to pick a niche (Only weddings, or only newborns... ect.) but I love it all. I enjoy doing portraits because I can make people feel happy on an individual basis. I am able to get to know them a little more and hear about their lives. I enjoy weddings for the cake, drinks, and dancing. Kidding. I enjoy weddings because its an adventure for me as a photographer. I am constantly on the hunt for the best light, and constantly scanning the room for emotional friends and crazy dancers. It makes me feel stealthy. I get to use all my lenses for a whole array of purposes. I get to use my portrait lens for Bride/Groom, Groom/Groom, or Bride/Bride portraits. I get to use my wide angle lens for decor and architecture shots. And I get to use my zoom lens during the ceremony - its fantastic! I also enjoy Conferences. Conferences are very specific people with very specific interest, and I have the privilege of being a "fly on the wall" because I am there to work. Really I am learning about all sorts of wild industries. I get to wear all of my nice business clothes and talk to intelligent people. Every now and then there are some incredible speakers, and I always get a front row seat because I am the girl with the camera and big lens. My clients are always happy that I am able to deliver the images at the end of the day. It makes me happy when I see all the pictures that I have taken over the week in a slideshow, usually on a movie screen sized projector. For these reasons, I refuse to pick a niche. I like working with everyone.
