Mike continues to do great work for me. He has done a bathroom and kitchen remodel and will soon be doing a whole house remodel.

Mike built a swingset for us. He did quality work in a short amount of time and was easy to work with.

Mike Zapata is a very likeable person but he is not a capable contractor. He quoted me $730.00 and had me sign a contract for that amount. The completed job was over $1200.00 and the worst work I've ever seen. The only part that was acceptable was the ceiling that he sub-contracted out. The dry walling he did shows the tape and mudding and the mudding was cracked within a couple of hours. A 7 year old could have done a better job. Nothing in the office was covered and everything is covered in dust. They stepped all over the furniture (including upholstery) leaving dirty shoe prints in the dust. After taking down a wall, he indicated he didn't realize the carpet wouldn't have gone all the way under it and wanted to know what he should do to cover the missing strip. Note that the pictures are the "finished" job. Completely unprofessional. Upon completion he told me he knew it wasn't his best work and would I like him to return and try to fix it. I just asked him to leave. I chalked it up to a lesson learned and I will hire a seasoned professional with references to redo his mess.
