Introduction: I work with customers to create an experience that they will remember. Whether I'm coming to cook for a small dinner party or teaching a cooking class, I do all of the planning and preparation (including shopping for groceries), so you can sit back and enjoy the experience without stress.
I love to work with customers to create a menu that works for them. I love to share my love of food and cooking with the people around me. My food philosophy is great ingredients plus simple techniques make delicious meals. I do not believe that food needs to be complicated or time consuming. This is how I cook for families and parties, and it is also how I teach my cooking classes.

When my second child was born I found that finding time to cook was near impossible. It had also been harder to stockpile food in advance. Frozen food and takeout got old really fast. Having fresh high quality food made right in my home was amazing. Maria has prepared meals for me twice and each time they were so delicious. One time Maria arrived to cook and ended up making my lunch also as I hadn't even had a chance to eat that day. When I needed my meals to be totally dairy free Maria went the extra mile to make sure the food featured flavors that were amazing but completely safe for me to eat. The large portions meant leftovers every meal. It was amazing to have all my favorite dishes cooked in my own home by someone that wasn't myself! And I think my kitchen was cleaner when she left than when she arrived. Her services were one of the best post-delivery gifts I was given. They were so good I contracted another round myself. Her friendly unobtrusive demeanor made me completely comfortable as I nursed my baby, napped, and went about my business as she cooked. I highly recommend her and anything she cooks!

Maria was amazing! She developed a delicious menu for my family and was effortlessly able to accommodate my dietary restrictions. She used high quality and fresh ingredients to prepare our meals, and when she was all done she left our home with a week's worth of amazing gourmet meals and dessert, and a clean kitchen. Having Maria over to cook for us was a godsend after having a new baby, and I would highly recommend her services.

If you want some of the best food that could rival your mother's then look no further. Maria who runs Sobremesa whips up some of the most out of the box ideas that will leave you literally begging for her to make the dish again and again such as her ropa vieja. Her salads are some of the best I have ever had the pleasure of munching on. The best part too is that they are not dishes that are out of reach making yourself, but surprisingly easy and teachable. Many of her salads and appetizers I have replicated for my own guests. I highly recommend Sobremesa and look forward to my next meal prepared by this phenomenal chef.

Maria does a great job with our family, she presents us with a different menu every week catered to our liking. Takes changes and adjustments well. Shops for the freshest and best ingredients and really takes pride in every dish she makes.
