FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I tend to give a free 1/2 hour consult, time permitting, to make sure everything is a good fit for both me and the client. I want to ensure I can help; that my skill set matches the client's needs. Once that is decided upon, I'm usually well aware of how best to help and price accordingly. I don't price low, I don't price high. I price fairly.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to first assess what is going on. Typically I give a half hour free phone consult to make sure it's a good fit and to better understand the goals of the client.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm a top-ranked pro who has created countless resumes, cover letters, personal statements and speeches as well as consulted on TV and film scripts, through this site and elsewhere. I got my start in primetime television shows, have developed and executed a podcast and formulated a fun blog that got a little bit of attention back in the day. I also have taught writing at a university and am frequently contracted to work one-on-one with writers in deals with studios. The work I do is varied, it's true. That's what I find so stimulating. I'm such a big advocate of writers that it's a joy to help people achieve their goals through the written word, no matter what form of writing is being tackled.
