Oh man - The Catering Carnival was absolutely amazing and I can't wait to hire them again! We had our Thanksgiving dinner drop-off catered by them this year. It was magnificent. They allowed us to customize our menu to our exact specifications and then BOY did they ever deliver. The food arrived at the exact minute we had requested. It was all hot and yummy! The turkey was succulent, the stuffing contained a plethora of amazing flavors with a hint of sweet, the yams practically tasted like pie filling, and (my favorite) the green bean casserole was many different layers of savory goodness. There were also Brussel sprouts with bacon, some yummy rolls, and their homemade Mac and cheese was the bomb! Kids loved it... ok yes, the adults went nuts for it too! Not only were they 1 hour late, no one was answering the phone and had a delivery driver, who looked horrible in appearance, drop off for a corporate event instead of the individual I spoke with initially. The food was ok nothing special, very heavy in garlic. I was expecting something more like the pictures on the site for presentation. Very disappointed!!! I sincerely apologize for the delay in delivery. We have had difficulty delivering to Agoura Hills, as the 101 fwy is entirely unreliable, and can take anywhere from 30 min - 2+ hours. I cannot risk having the orders leave even earlier, as it then compromises the food quality. We can only leave so early, and always use Google Maps to predict when we should leave. Accidents happen and sometimes late deliveries do occur. I didn't have a phone number for you, but sent a message through Thumbtack letting you know that the delivery was going to be late. We had been communicating earlier that day through Thumbtack, so I thought that would suffice. I apologize for not collecting your phone number. Since we are a family owned & operated company and I have a toddler to take care of, I primarily work through online means (either through Thumbtack or email). If you are a mother, I am sure you understand how difficult it can be to take calls while also keeping your small child safe. Chef J David assured me that he spoke with you when he delivered the food, and that everything was fine, which is why no one gave you a call back. You ordered a basic appetizer set up of: fruit platters, cheese & cracker platters, crostini with bruschetta platters & caprese salad skewers. The platters were on larger platters than pictured in our gallery (I took the time to let you know this through Thumbtack, and you had responded, which is why I wasn't too concerned about messaging you through Thumbtack to let you know about the late delivery), however we personally check each order that goes out and they were all standard in presentation. The only item that has garlic is the bruschetta, which is the entire flavor of this dish and a standard recipe. This is actually one of our top ordered appetizers, and we have never received any complaints about the flavor. This is our livelihood, and I would have appreciated the courtesy of you messaging me privately BEFORE leaving us a one star review simply based on delivery time and the one dish that had garlic. I urge everyone who reads this review to keep this in mind. We can only leave so early, and always use Google Maps to predict when we should leave. Accidents happen and sometimes late deliveries do occur.

- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?We introduce ourselves and offer a sample menu. We then work with the client to come up with the perfect menu to meet their needs.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?Our chef is classically trained, and has worked in various 5 star restaurants.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?We wanted to bring creativity and fun back to cooking and eating. We started with a food truck, with the idea that we would bring some fun back to the streets of Los Angeles with fun food, like deep fried Oreos. We had no idea that our business would grow from a food truck into a catering company that caters all sorts of events - from birthday parties and weddings to family reunions, corporate catering and other private events.
