About this pro
Originally I was thrilled to find a company willing to take my recipes and cook my dinner for me. My dinner was at 5:30. Per the contract they were to arrive a minimum of 30 minutes prior to dinner. I was a little concerned based on previous reviews that the food would arrive late. But I was assured that the food would arrive on time and hot in chafing dishes. At 4:00 I received a notice that they would be arriving soon. The food arrived at 5:00 but was cold and the staff started heating it up in my oven and filling chafing dishes in my kitchen! At 5:45 the food was lukewarm and my guests needed to eat so we started anyway. Many things were just wrong. It was supposed to come with marinated red onions on the side which were just not there. The beans and hominy had no salt as well as the pico de gallo. The recipes I sent seemed to be completely ignored. If you can’t provide a dish when given a recipe you should just say so. The ceviche and the llapingachos were just awful. The potatoes were supposed to have cheese. There was none. The salad was something you could buy from Costco and dump in a bowl with unwanted croutons that made it inedible to my gluten free guests. The fruit tray was also something you could buy in a grocery store. I was supposed to have iced tea to drink and they brought lemonade instead and forgot the coffee so they to go back and get it later which wasn’t a big deal because it was to be served with cake at 7:30 but it got put away before anybody had any. I would have been better off to get it catered by the Italian restaurant down the street and rent my own chafing dishes. I gave them more than one star because my guests liked the chicken and the fried plantains.Jun 28, 2018Verified
The food was delivered on time and set for us before the big game. The equipment was picked up as scheduled so the place was totally clean by bedtime. The portions are very large and very tasty. I would definitely use Madkin’s again.Feb 5, 2018Verified
