FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing depends on the type of assignment - I offer hourly, half day, and full day pricing, with hourly rates starting at $350.00. Half-day and full-day rates usually apply to architectural jobs and fantasy/composite projects. For headshots, I charge a flat $350.00, which includes an hour of shooting with as many looks as you want, an online gallery for your selection process, and 3 retouched images. I only shoot headshots at my studio, unless the client is willing to pay for mileage. For all other types of assignments, additional fees, such as location fees, special equipment, wardrobe, hair/makeup, printing, and travel, are not included. My fees include travel up to 15 miles. I will travel up to 50 for an additional fee, and any distance beyond that for an overnight fee.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My first conversation with a client is to determine which type of photography service they are seeking, be it a peeps with pets portrait, a fantasy/composite concept, architectural, boudoir, etc. Once I have that information, we'll talk about specifics - timing, budget, final product, ideas. Follow up conversations will focus on defining the concept, and setting up time and location.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Lighting classes at the prestigious Julia Dean Photography Workshops; Composite/processing workshops with world-renowned Brooke Shaden. 30 years in the entertainment as a performer/director, working with wardrobe, design, lights. Classical art training in Europe and Mexico
