Introduction: I started working as a lifeguard/swim instructor in 2010, I worked for the County of Los Angeles for 3 consecutive years, while there I taught swimming lessons from ages 3-17, I also was promoted to swim team coach on my first season of working and allowed to work pass the summer season. I worked as an educator for the California Science Center and realized how much I loved teaching so I became a full time instructor for Waterworks swim school. Recently I resigned to start working for myself so I can give the best quality of service and combine all of the things I learned from my experience to better serve my clients! I have been swimming since 5 years of age, joining swim team at age 7-17 swimming competitively. I have experience with all ages ranging from two years to adulthood, beach safety, I also have experience with special needs children and teenagers, people who have experienced drowning or near drowning, or have an overall fear of water, I prepare my students physically and most of all mentally. I definitely have a sincere love for children and adults having water education. My goal is to have everyone water safe!
Although I don't have many reviews yet, because I'm new to thumbtack. You can contact my last supervisor Samantha Duron at your request!
I enjoy meeting new people and helping them get to their aquatic goals. I have a lot of experience working with people with an intense fear of water, shy individuals also. No one is too old or too young to learn! I know how to teach how to survive in all water settings (pool, beach, lake, etc.) I want anyone I teach to love swimming!
I have a small one time fee for the first lesson, so you can see how great my service will be! (This is half the usual price per student) It is a full visual and interactive examination of student, explaining what we will be working on if hired, and a full example lesson. Also if you are satisfied with the lessons, upon leaving a review 2 lessons are free redeemable whenever you'd like!
